毛锡良,一九四六年出生于一个贫困的农家。由于家庭贫困和时代环境所迫 16 岁失学早早务农以求生存。17 岁,师从朱枫老师(原梅村中学老师)由朱枫老师提供了一套当时美术学院的教科书以书为本指导实践苦练基本功。18 岁,即开始以画像谋生自强不息,刻苦专研。在坎坷的道路上拼搏了数十年,画了数万张肖像画(包括文革时期的伟人油画像)。
进入老年时代开始创作了大量民间喜闻乐见的农村风情油画深受广大民众的喜爱地方报刊及杂志均有发表。地方政府及各艺术机构均有收藏。2008 年四川 5.12 大地震出于同感日夜不息的连续创作了10 多幅“5.12 大营救等作品”。
无锡电视台多次播出捐款捐画给社会做出了大量的贡献。其中有2 幅作品在香港义卖被英国珍宝博物馆收藏。另有一幅“只要有一线希望”被毛泽东纪念馆收藏。并入编英国珍宝博物馆的收藏大典。
2011 年新加坡展和 2012 年法国卢浮宫展中深受外国领导和艺术界喜爱与好评。现为多家书画院聘为院士。名誉主席、艺术家协会会员、中国书画名家协会会员。国家一级美术师、中国艺协第三届副主席、中国红色艺术家、中国国礼艺术家、中国慈善艺术家、中国实力派书画家、中国 21 世纪德艺双馨书画家。
Mao Xiliang was born in 1946 in a poor farming family. Due tofamily poverty and the pressure of the times, the 16-year-old was forced to drop out of school and start farming early in order to survive. At the age of 17, he studied under Teacher Zhu Feng(formerly a teacher at Meicun Middle School), who provided a set of textbooks from the Academy of Fine Arts at that time to guide and practice basic skills. At the age of 18, he began to make a living through portraits and worked hard to improve himself. After struggling on the bumpy road for decades, he painted tens of thousands of portraits (including oil paintings of great figures during the Cultural Revolution).
Entering the old age, he began to create a large number of rural style oil paintings that were popular among the general public.Local newspapers and magazines have published them. Local governments and various art institutions have collections. In 2008, during the May 12th earthquake in Sichuan, more than 10"5.12 rescue and other works" were created day and night in a row due to the same feeling.
Wuxi TV has made significant contributions to society by repeatedly broadcasting donations and paintings. Two of these works were collected by the British Treasure Museum at the Hong Kong charity sale. Another painting, "As long as there is a glimmer of hope," has been collected by the Mao Zedong MemorialHall. And included in the collection ceremony of the British Treasure Museum.
The 2011 Singapore Exhibition and the 2012 Louvre Exhibition in France were deeply loved and praised by foreign leaders and the art community. I am currently employed as an academician by multiple calligraphy and painting academies. Honorary Chairman, Member of Artists Association, and Member of Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association. National first-class artist, Vice Chairman of the 3rd China Artists Association,Chinese Red Artist, Chinese National Ritual Artist, Chinese Charity Artist, Chinese Strength Calligrapher and Painter, and Chinese 21st Century Deyi Shuangxin Calligrapher and Painter.
